Remember when I took a vacation to California? Well we took a bunch of pictures and I have some, but the majority is on my relatives’ phone. Thanks to the Share Your Photos app sharing all those photos is easier than ever. I mean could it be any easier?! (if you imagined Chandler Bing saying that you and I are on the same brainwave).

Sharing photos (and memories!) with Share Your Photos app!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the App (for free)
  2. Once you sign up (with FB, Google or your Email) start creating events and inviting friends and family
  3. Within the event you can download the photos you want or even send them to be printed!

Easy as 1, 2, 3!

Let me show you around the app.

Invite friends (via text or email)!

If you create an event, you’ll see this screen

I usually stick to just the event name (I’m horrible with dates and locations lol)

If you join an already made event, you’ll get this screen.

Once in the event, you see the photos that have been uploaded by other users.

Then you can pick and choose which ones to download or the ones that can wait till later.

To go to other events, exit the screen you’re on and look for the button with the three horizontal lines at the upper left hand corner to switch events and this sidebar comes into view:

The menu options are self explanatory

If you go to ‘my events’, you’ll see this screen with all events you joined/created:

Hint-only download ones you really want (saves on storage), the others will stay forever.

I have yet to explore the other options, but you can bet they’re cool too! If you have, let me know.

The only problem I had was finding the time to go through my photos- but that’s just because I procrastinate like crazy.

With school coming up I won’t have a ton of photos to share, but looking at what my friends and family share is enough! Although, now that I think about it-I’ll probably be sharing photos of class adventures and other stuff (and maybe my notes, if you’re lucky) with my other classmates.

Overall-the app is super easy to install/navigate and I’ll definitely be using it in the future.

This app looks awesome, I think I might have to try it to share my photos!

  • Kristi

Such a cool idea! I’ll have to look into this. Looks pretty easy to figure out – even for the tech-challenged like myself!

    • Lol my friend is the same way and she uses it all the time!

  • Makaela Premont

That’s so cool and such a great idea! I always want to share photos of my trips without being spammy and this is a great alternative

    -xo, Makaela

  • Oooh I’ve never heard of this app but it sounds like such a great idea! A bunch of us went on a trip and took a million pictures that we had to upload to Google Drive (it took 12 hours to complete lol!) so this would definitely come in handy!!

    • Lol that’s how I felt before this app.

  • How neat is this app! use dropbox a lot but I have never heard of this! Such a great way to share images.

    • I used Dropbox for the longest time and kept getting complaints that it was confusing to add photos to a file!

  • I’ve never heard of this, how neat!? I love finding out about cool apps.

    • We just came back from CA and all my cousins are on it now so it’s so much easier to share photos haha.

  • Rachel Ritlop

What a great app! I currently use dropbox and I feel like its super similar, but I’m definitely going to give this app a try.

    • Dropbox is similar! A lot of people still get confused with it though.

  • Looks like a handy app. I’ll have to check it out.

This is such a genius idea for family gatherings ! ( I ) typically end up having to either text or email the photos to everyone, this would help me so much to just upload and they can download what they want themselves?

  • This looks so much easier than making a shared iPhone album and manually inviting people. I love that you can join with an event code!

    • Yes! And the codes aren’t weird ones like CA92347205623817Z

Wow this app is so cool! Thanks for sharing how you used this app 🙂

This is a great way to do it, I take so many pictures, it would be great not to have to download them all. As well, I often want to share them with my three daughters and with your instructions I might even be able to do it, thanks for the step by step instructions!

  • Ashon

Wow this app sounds amazing. whenever I went for a holiday or outing with friends or family, I end up sending or receiving pictures by email or watsapp, but it’s so annoying to download one by one, so this app seems to be the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing it, even better you shared everything step by step.

    xx Ashon

  • That is great for weddings, reunions, parties…it’s a really smart idea.

    • Exactly! It’s perfect for big events.

  • This is such a great idea! I need to do this for my family vacations.

    • That’s mainly what I use it for haha.

  • My friends and I always take a ton of pictures when we’re out, and there are ALWAYS some that we want to share with each other but that we don’t want the world seeing. This would be great for that! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    • Hahaha sounds like me and my friends.

  • Jonathan Tyler

Really cool idea. I really need to check this app out. Thanks

  • Miss ALK

    • Omg yes! Mom is always asking for mine/ vice versa haha.

  • Anna Hubbard

This is so cool for events!!

  • I love this and would love to use it for my vacations. It’s so much work to download everyone’s photos from FB, and then they only post the ones they look good in. This app sounds perfect!

    • Lol! I do that with FB pics all the time!

  • This is an awesome app! I lovelovelove that it makes it so easy to share photos and memories!

  • What a fun way to share photos! Love the step-by-step walkthrough!
