The name of this monthly update post has been changed more times that I can count, and I’ve changed it again. While monthly mixings was cute and alliterative, it wasn’t getting my point across so now I’ve changed ‘monthly mixings’ to ‘In review’.

In review: my month of August!

Why didn't the toilet paper cross the road?

Because it got stuck in a crack

Sorry if you found that crude, I just couldn’t stop laughing when I heard it.

My Latest Obsession

Okay, so this concealer is PERFECT for those pesky dark circles under your eye. Well it’s great for all those spots on you face that you want to cover up, but I mainly use it for my eyes. I wasn’t sure what shade to get so I used their shade finder.

I dab some under my eyes and then blend it with their cushion applicator.

Then I blend the layered product with this powder- this leaves my face with an even and covered look.

This concealer has 5 benefits in 1! I used this post as a guide also. Finish off the fresh face look with this mascara and some lip stain. This has been my go-to school look.

Blog Stats

Last month’s recap was eventful. My blog stats were down, but I went to CA for two weeks so I didn’t promote or update as much.

Pageviews: 5,124
UPV: 2,243
Users: 1,650
Sessions: 1,135

Not as high as I’d like them to be, but I’m growing!

Monthly recap

So this past month was fun-filled and also terrible. I won’t go into the nitty gritty, but my godfather died (and we weren’t able to attend the funeral) then a family friend then our other super close family friend died right before Hurricane Harvey hit. Speaking of Hurricane Harvey, a lot of our families and friends live in the Houston area- prayers upon prayers are needed.

Making a (much needed) 180 turn, the weather has been nice, I’ve been working with some awesome companies and Fall is coming!

So school has started and I’m in a acoustic, laid back mood-this playlist reflects that. Except T-Swifts new song-I love it!

How was your August? Anything to review?
