I love pretty much everything classic- staples that can be worn through the years with just different and seasonal accessories. No matter what decade were in, those classic pieces can be transformed turning something somewhat outdated into something that stands the test of time. Here are 8 fashion classics that I love:
The trench coat
Trench coats may remind you of a noir detective (I do think of that sometimes), but it also reminds me of a modern day London model or something. The Burberry trench is like my DREAM! There are more affordable options below.
Is anything more iconic than a little black dress?! The answer is no. From Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s to pretty much everyone now the LBD is a fashion staple.
I used to think pearls were for old ladies and the Queen of England- so not the case. Pretty much any look can be classed up with the addition of pearls.
An item I thought of as an impracticality is such a classic piece. Sure it doesn’t make the best ‘necessity’ bag, but it does exude a quality of class.
The white button down shirt
Okay, so in elementary/middle school a white button down shirt was a must have part of our uniform, (let’s not go there). So admittedly the white button down wasn’t a favorite of mine until recently. Now I admire the crisp, easy essential.
Dark wash jeans
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good distressed denim, but something about a fabulous dark wash jean is so simple yet classic (plus pairing it with a white button down is probably the easiest way to exude ‘class’).
Talk about classic. I won’t say much, just think about it.
Once reserved for doilies and wedding dresses, lace has come to be a decorative must have on even casual clothes. Who else feels like they should be going to a tea party if you wear an all lace dress?
