Ever since I could remember I’ve been getting horrible headaches. While I want to lie in a dark room sans noise and just sleep, that usually isn’t an option. These are my favorite headache remedies.
Rub my temples

A long time ago someone told me that a headache is just a sign of dehydration. While part of this is true, another part of me disagrees (mainly the continuous pounding in my head). So while it doesn’t solve my headache problem, it does alleviate some pain.
Ginger, ginger, ginger
Ginger helps with stomach pain, dizziness, a sore throat and almost everything else. Ginger tea with lemon is usually my go to, but I’ve also gnawed on ginger candy, sucked on ginger root and ate the ginger from sushi by itself (sounds weird, but it totally helps).
Do some basic stretches
Nothing extreme because sometimes drastic movement makes me even more sick, but just moving my head up, down, left and right helps a bit.
Bite on a pencil
Most of the time a headache means you’re stressed. When you’re stressed you probably clench your teeth- so biting a pencil relieves tension and relaxes your jaw muscles.
Take a warm bath
This option is a great one if you’re home. The warm bath relaxes muscles, opens sinuses and just makes you feel better.
If all else fails (or for me I want immediate results) take some pain killers. When all else fails (headaches wise) take some Tylenol. Click To Tweet
I JUST found out that Botox isn’t just for wrinkles- it stops headaches BEFORE they start. Ask your doctor for more information, but the fact that it basically blocks the head pain before it even stops kinda seals the deal for me.
