We’re in the last month of 2017 (how?! HOW?!) and I really don’t know how to start this so I’ll just jump in. Here’s my November In Review.

Welcome to the busy holiday season! I found the time to recap my busy November. This post also contains my latest obsession, a joke and a playlist.9

Monthly recap

So just like my July recap, the first weeks of November was uneventful. The week before Thanksgiving things went CRAZY. Well for some reason I just wasn’t happy with my magazine project. I kept changing pretty much everything. A 4 page layout took me about 2 weeks to design. I’ll show it off later this month.

Thanksgiving was crazy, one tip that really paid off? Cook pretty much everything on the days leading up to it. Tuesday mom and I chopped the veggies, peeled the potatoes and all those things. Wednesday we made the turkey (shout out to Butterball and their freezer to oven turkey!), green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and the cranberry relish.

And no that’s not all we had-another tip? Delegate! We had about 15 people over and they all brought the side dishes, deserts and appetizers.

Thursday consisted of cleaning mainly. Have you seen this video? Yeah that was basically us.

Everyone came around 12 and we just talked and ate, ate and talked. Here are some pics.

The tryptophan set in so after they left (at like 5:30) we were lazy the rest of the day.

In other news, I FINISHED MY BOOK CHALLENGE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! My goal was to read 20 books in one 2017. TBH I forgot about the challenge until like August and I’d only read like 5 books.

I started listening to the Daisy Dalrymple Mysteries and I’m addicted. It kinda reminds me of Nancy Drew except it’s British. It takes place in 1922 and beyond and centers around a magazine journalist named the honorable Daisy Dalrymple. The series follows her on her adventures, writing deeds and of course her love story with detective chief inspector Alec Fletcher of Scotland Yard.

The books are only 200-300 pages long so it’s a relatively quick read and its also suspenseful. I’ve read 11 books in less than a month.

Quick review: It’s addicting, a good brain teaser and a quick read.

My Latest Obsession

So the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales hit me HARD. I bought almost everything I’ve been wanting. But this bracelet hasn’t left my wrist since I got it in late October. I wore it only once before it broke, I told Happiness Boutique about it and the sent me another one!

Here’s a pic:

The bracelet is rose gold, has rhinestones throughout and has roman numerals around it. It can be worn stacked and layered, but it’s gorgeous and so classy worn by itself. Here is a similar version.

Blog Stats

I totally understand my low stats this month. Everyone and their mother (literally in my case) is busy, busy, busy! When I get home from school, I work for a couple hours then I shut my laptop and I don’t want to open it again till the next day. Maybe since this month means a break from school/work will mean my stats will go up? A little? No?
