Remember when I posted my goals for 2017? Well before I go and post a 2018 goal list, let’s recap the old ones. I’m also revealing the website I designed in one of my classes, and also sharing some Christmas freebies!

A look back on my 2017 goals, the revelation of my personal website with my branding, and magazine projects and some Christmas freebies!

  • Grow any or all social media channels to at least 1,000 followers (especially Instagram)

Pinterest-2138 When I made this goal, my Pinterest was at 940 followers or something so a goal of 1000 wasn’t far off, but 2000+ blew my expectations!
Instagram– 1262 (although it’ll probably be 1250 thanks to followers/unfollowers
Twitter– 779 I’m not to 1k yet, but this channel has grown significantly!
Facebook– 521 this channel is slowly gaining traction, ha! Though it has grown from 215 to 513!

  • Absolutely slay my studies

This is only halfway crossed out because we’re only halfway through the semester, I’m happy to say that this past semester was pretty good to me!

  • Read at least 20 books

BLEW THIS ONE OUT OF THE WATER! If you remember in my mid-year recap, I wasn’t even halfway through my book goal. Ever since then I read, read and listened (audiobooks are essential) my heart out. I ended up reading 29/20 books this year! Follow me on Goodreads for book reccs, reviews and ratings.

  • Sharpen my writing and photography skills

Another goal that was only partially completed. My Instagram shots have gotten better (someone said that my photos look better!), but I’m taking a proper photography class in the summer. As for writing, I haven’t really done anything to sharpen my skills.

  • Work with more brands

So I’ve worked with some awesome brands and I’m hoping to work with a lot more! Here are those posts:

The Jade Hair Straightening Brush Review
Layering with JORD Wood Watches
Banishing Digital Eye Strain with Phonetic Eyewear
Sharing Memories with The Share Your Photos app
Gifts for all with uncommongoods
and some Instagram posts!

In my Media Design class, we had several projects; our branding project, the magazine project and the website project. I was going to write all about it, but then I decided that you can view everything yourself by clicking

Now we come to the freebies! As a lot of you know, I love creating things and so I created these graphics for your use!

  • I definitely met/surpassed some of my goals, but not all of them. Instagram is so frustrating.

  • Ugh jealous of your reading goal this year! My sister usually reads around 100 books a year (show off!) while I’m lucky if I can get 20 done. Going to have to step it up next year!

  • I have one more book to reach my book goal for the year. Way to slay your goals this year!

  • Miss ALK

Alix your professional website looks great! I’m working on doing the same thing right now for my career/portfolio. 🙂 Cheers to all your goals!

    xoxo A

  • Congrats on all of your successes. You are growing your business and finding time for reading too! A perfect combination for a meaningful life.

  • I’ve found that FB is the toughest when it comes to growing a following. I feel like people are following blogs less and less on FB and more so on Instagram than anything else. Congrats on reaching so many of your goals! That’s awesome. I can’t wait to see what successes will come your way in the new year!

  • Wow, congrats on meeting so many of your goals! Sounds like a great year. I actually didn’t set that many goals for this year, but I need to be more goal-oriented if I want to actually move forward.

  • You did amazing! Can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring! Wishing you another blessed year! 🙂

  • Such great goals! I gained a lot of pinterest followers!

  • Patricia Conte

Way to go! I’m so impressed that you read 20 books! I checked out a book from the library and I had to return it, unread :*( You’ve inspired me!

    • Lol having to return a book on a deadline stresses me out.

  • Great job on your goals! I totally didn’t meet my reading goal which sucks but that’s okay.

  • Awesome job on all your goals! I hope 2018 is just as good for you!

  • Ash Neverson

    • That was a personal goal also this year!

  • Way to go on meeting your goals! I didn’t really set goals for my blog this year but I think I might for next year so I have something to work towards.

    • That’s always a good thing to go!

  • Congrats on meeting your goals! You are rocking it this year!

  • Huge congrats on this year! I agree, your Instagram pics are looking better than ever!! And I hear you about follow/unfollowers- they’re such an annoying hindrance to growth smh. Just keep killin’ it, girl!

  • Okay first of all congrats on all your goals! And 29 books is awesome!! I want to get better about reading more books next year. Those freebies are supersuper cute too 🙂

  • Congrats on meeting so many of your goals!
