Does that title make sense? I tried to say movies that you wouldn’t expect to see on a Valentine’s Day movie list. I don’t know if I got my meaning across haha. For some reason I love to watch action movies on Valentine’s Day so all of these are action movies with a love story line somewhere in the plot. Here are my not very valentiney Valentine’s Day movies.

We all know what holiday is coming up and it's all about l-o-v-e. For some odd reason Valentine's Day means watching action movies for me so here are my not very valentiney Valentine's Day movies.

1. Deadpool

What does it say about me if this is the first movie that pops in my head for this list? You know what don’t answer that. Cut out the nastiness, the bad words, the violent parts and the dirty bits (which is like the whole movie) and you essentially have a romance.

2. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

One of the underlying questions I had throughout this entire movie was ‘what about his wife?!’ when we find out it’s super sad, but the end is so sweet and romantic.

3. Casino Royal

Probably the best Bond movie ever*. Bond, James Bond finally meets his match in Vesper Lynd and after winning a high stakes poker game he gives everything up to be with her…or does he?

4. Inception

If you haven’t seen this movie, prepare to be thoroughly confused- I’ve seen it like 5 times and I’m still not crystal clear on everything. At it’s roots it does have a theme of love though.

5. Wonder Woman

Maybe the epitome of a not valentiney Valentine’s Day movies, this is NOT a love story, she does kick-ass, and it’s not a love story-but come on, Chris Pine is just so lovable in this movie! Oh and Diana is so kick-ass.

6. Iron Man 2

This wasn’t the best Iron Man movie, but it is the one with the strongest love theme (well IM3 was pretty strong also). Plus this was the first movie I got on my iPad so I’m a little biased to it.

7. Fast and Furious 6

Every time I see one of these movies I always think ‘that’s so unrealistic’ which is true, but that’s what makes it super entertaining also. Plus Dom + Letty just belong together.

8. The Count of Monte Cristo

I have yet to read the book (excuse me it’s like 1,000 pages long), but the whole movie revolves around love, revenge and jealousy.

9. Pirates of the Caribbean

Will only gets involved with Captain Jack to save his true love-Elizabeth, but he also finds his destiny (the third one is also has a strong love story).

10. Get Smart

Omg this has to be one of the best scenes in the movie hahahaha. It’s a typical love story with a secret agent (and hilarious) twist. Brb-while I go find this DVD.

What are your not very valentiney Valentine’s Day movies?
